How is the payment schedule and cancellation policy?

Payment schedule – We require a 50% deposit to be received after booking. The balance can be paid on arrival. We have a credit card machine at the retreat suitable for Visa and Mastercard. An extra credit card fee of 2% applies for payments made with this credit card machine.
Cancellation policy – 50% of the deposit will be refunded when you cancel your stay 60 days before arrival or earlier. If you cancel after that, 0% will be refunded.

Can you arrange transport to Kesambi Villas?

We can arrange your transport from the airport or your previous hotel in a car with air conditioning. It is a scenic drive from the south and it will take approximately 4 hours depending on the traffic.
From the airport – If you would like us to arrange transport from the airport, please provide your flight number and arrival time. A pick up for 2-4 people with luggage is IDR 800.000. A car suitable for up to 10 people with luggage costs IDR 850.000. It is also possible to pick you up in a comfortable limousine with a rate of IDR 1.200.000. Payment for transport will be added to your end bill.
From your previous hotel – We can arrange transport from your previous location. Rates depend on the location and the amount of people. It is also possible to make a day tour with scenic stops along the way. For instance stops from the south can be the Temple Ulun Danu, the Twin Lakes and the Munduk Waterfall. The rate for day tour is IDR 900.000 with a car suitable for up to 4 people.

Check in and check out time?

Check in time is 15.00 and check out time is 12:00. We can be flexible if circumstances allow, meaning an earlier check in is possible if your villa is cleaned already and a later check out is possible if there are no new guests arriving on your departure day. Please note we often have last minute guests.

Can we eat at Kesambi Villas?

We have 2 restaurants at the retreat, Suma and Senja, available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is also possible to order room service from the villa menu. There is a fridge in the villa stocked with beer/wine and soft drinks at reasonable rates. Tea and Bali coffee are available in the villa kitchen for free as well as a water container.
We have a free shuttle bus who can bring you to the Pemuteran restaurants, approx. a 10 minute drive. You can bring your villa mobile when you request a pick up. In the high season the shuttle drives on a fixed schedule until 8 pm.

Should we make a reservation for yoga or spa treatments in advance?

The best time to make a reservation for Yoga or a Spa treatment is one day before.

Should we make reservation for excursions in advance?

You can discuss all your excursions with the staff upfront or during your stay. They will organise it for you. It is best to make the reservation at least a day before. Please check out our tips for things to do.

What is the rate for a snorkelling trip to Menjangan Island?

We have two options for snorkelling trips to Menjangan island: a private or a public boat trip.
Private boat – An indication for the rate is IDR 750.000 per person for 4 people. This includes transport, boat, guide, snorkeling gear, entrance fee and a packed breakfast/lunch box. You can decide the departure time. However, we recommend a departure at 7 am, when the fish are more lively and the area is more quiet, especially in the high season.
Public boat – The rate for a public boat trip is IDR 600.000 per person​ including transport, boat, guide, snorkeling gear, entrance fee and a packed breakfast/lunch box. The departure time for the public boat is around 9 am.
Please note the entrance fee at Menjangan increases​ with IDR 100.000 pp when you plan your trip on a Sunday or a public holiday​.

How do I get around?

We have a free shuttle bus that can bring you to Pemuteran Beach, where you can find other restaurants and a nice beach vibe. It is also possible to rent a motorbike at the retreat.

Can we fly our drone in the retreat area?

It is becoming more popular to use drones to capture nice photos and videos. We realize the Kesambi Villas area is especially inviting to use drones. However, we can’t allow them if they interfere with the sense of privacy of other guests. Drones are only allowed after discussing the use with the manager and within the restrictions he mentions.

How far is it to the beach?

We are located around a 5 minutes drive away from Sumberkima Bay, the starting point for the reef restoration snorkeling, white sand island and canoeing experience. We are a 10 minutes drive away from Pemuteran Beach. Approximately 10 minutes towards the West it is possible to relax at the beach at Pasir Putih, the Dynasty restaurant there requests a deposit of IDR 250.000 p/p to spend in their restaurant. Also in that area is the Menjangan beach, where you can find Pantai restaurant, you can use the facilities if you spend lunch or dinner there. Availability at the last mentioned should be checked up front, not possible in the high season.

Are there any (super)markets in the area?

We are a 10 minute drive away from the traditional market and supermarket and approximately a 7 minutes drive from the minimarket.

What is the religion in this area ?

Most people from our community are Hindu and some are Muslim.
